Are you forced to spend time deleting unwanted spam every time you read your email? When you download your new email messages, do you find there isn't a single message of any use? Are you offended by the subject line or the content of pornographic spam?

If so then you can save time and money with Postini's Email Security Appliance.

This is a managed service that uses advanced anti-spam and anti-virus engines to quarantine incoming email threats before they reach their destination. When someone sends you an email, it passes through Postini's filtering system to determine whether it's spam or if the message has a known virus attached to it.

If Postini's system identifies a message as spam or virus infected, it will quarantine the message within your Private Message Centre, where all your filtered email goes to. The remaining clean/safe messages will then be delivered to you in the usual way. Quarantined messages remain in your Private Message Centre for one month before being automatically deleted.

On a weekly basis you'll receive an automated email, summarising the number of messages quarantined in your Private Message Centre. If any clean messages have been caught up in the filter, you can mark the email as safe to deliver and Postini will add the sender to your Whitelist.

After using the service for some time, the filters intelligently adapt to your preferences, thus increasing accuracy by up to 95%. The cost of this service is just £75 + VAT per year.
